International Association for Promotion of
Science and Technology (CIAPST) was
established in 1988 through the approval of
the Leadership Council of Science and
Technology under the State Department of the
People抯 Republic of China. It is a
nongovernmental organization registered with
the Ministry of Civil Administration of
China and Awarded the status of Class A
legal entity.
PRINCIPLES of CIAPST :
CIAPST is an organization set up with the aim to unite scientists,
educators, entrepreneurs, industrialists,
financiers, management experts, engineers
and technical staff at home and abroad to
promote the development of science and
technology and merging science and
technology with market economy, to
strengthen the international exchange of
science/technology and economic cooperation
for the growth and prosperity of China.
FUNCTIONS of CIAPST ：
1. Organizing international conferences by inviting experts at home and
abroad in order to study the means of how to
elevate the technical and management levels
of science and technology sectors in China.
Exploring the process to merge science and
technology with market economy and
implementation of such action.
2. Assisting Chinese enterprises to solicit foreign investments and
promoting their integration with foreign
funds. In addition, to help the export
oriented Chinese enterprises to expand into
the international market arena so as to link
themselves to world抯 economy and
participating in the international
competition.
3．Developing personnel information exchange service in the field of
science and technology with the objective of
guiding the Chinese scientific and
technological personnel into international
communities.
4. Providing consulting service for enterprises in the improvement of the
level of management as well as the level of
science and technology, and facilitate the
transition of technical results into
commercialization.
5. Providing services for entry into China market by overseas medium and
small business as well as the expansion of
domestic medium and small business into
international market.
6. Developing cross Taiwan Straits exchange and cooperation in technology
achievements under the aegis of China
Association for Promotion of Science and
Technology (CIAPST), promoting the
industrialization and commercialization of
such achievements, facilitating the entry of
international market of these achievements.
7. Engaging itself in the research and development of key scientific and
technological projects so as to enhance its
own economic strength.
The President of CIAPST is Prof. Shi
Changxu; Mr. Wang Daohau, Mr. Liang Buting
and Mr. Han Peixin Serve in the capacity of
senior advisers.
